Problem 17: Breaking the Hexagon

This is a regular hexagon. All its sides and angles are equal.

1. How can you break the hexagon into 12 congruent (i.e. identical) quadrilaterals?
2. How can you break the hexagon into pieces that can be reassembled into 4 new identical regular hexagons?
